Since 1999, our innovative, patented products with cold-rolled wire have been elevating the efficiency, structural integrity, aesthetic beauty and profitability of our clients’ residential and commercial construction projects across North America.

 

OUR PRODUCTS

Structa Wire Corp manufactures high-performance welded wire products for the lath and plaster industry.

Drawing on our depth of industry expertise, we design and engineer products to improve stucco performance and efficiency, while enhancing its aesthetic beauty. Created exclusively for stucco reinforcement, our products are tested and approved as alternatives to woven and metal lath sheet products.

From our manufacturing facility, our in-house engineers and fabricators develop quality products that perform in one, two and three-coat stucco systems. The result is a range of structurally sound products that are easily applied, saving on time and labour. Our proprietary products improve the performance of stucco on both steel-frame and wood-frame construction and are recognized for LEED accreditation.

All Structa Wire products are covered under ER – 2017 and fully conform to requirements for stucco reinforcing as defined in the UBC, IBC & IRC.

HISTORY

More than 20 years ago, Structa Wire started looking at stucco, and seeing how we could do it differently. We discovered products with design flaws, which drove us to research, engineer, innovate and develop solutions that made dramatic improvements in the construction process. Since then, our clients’ experiences have driven us to continue refining and developing high-performance, energy-efficient solutions, many to LEED standards. We’re proud of the difference our products have made to the industry.

Our reputation as an industry leader for innovation and quality is built on the work of our in-house team of engineers and designers who develop and manufacture high-performance machinery, to exceptional quality-control standards. Responding to existing challenges in the industry, their insight and expertise has resulted in several innovations.

• A designated roll width of Structalath at 38 3/8” so that three (3) widths cover a standard 9’ 3” wall height with overlaps.
• Our cold-rolled (flat wire) technology was initially developed as a solution for handling and cutting rolls of wire on scaffolding.
• Our Structa Rib Lath product was developed in response to complaints from the fallout and excessive cracking encountered when working with traditional reinforcement products.
• Mega Lath was developed to meet the needs for an alternative to sheet products for heavy-duty reinforcing applications.

Research & Development

• Currently we are developing product solutions to: enhance the seismic performance of stucco walls, a one-coat stucco lath, and a revised version of our V Truss Ceiling product designed for single pass – one coat stucco
• Structa actively collaborates with scientists at the University of British Columbia, Johns Hopkins and Building Science professionals throughout North America
